Adaptation policies and knowledge base in transnational regions in Europe

GeneralAgriculture, Forests, Others, Water control

The Catalan Office for Climate Change has participated in the preliminary technical elaboration of the document through the Government Delegation of the Generalitat to the EU in Brussels.

The document, published by the European Environment Agency, identifies the state of policies to adapt to the impacts of climate change in EU countries and transnational regions, some of which are considered "hot spots" - areas that are very vulnerable to the impacts-.

The document identifies the Mediterranean region as one of the twelve transnational regions that are particularly vulnerable to the impacts of climate change.

The conclusions and simulations of the Life Medacc project and the creation and tasks of the Pyrenean Climate Change Observatory, are some of the references highlighted in the document.
